The Prince and Princess of Wales will not attend the traditional Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle this weekend.
Instead, the couple will spend the holiday privately at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, alongside their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
According to reports, Prince William informed the King of their plans in advance.
A palace source noted that the couple are “choosing to spend time together as a family before the children go back to school.”
It will mark the second year in a row that the Wales family has missed the Windsor Easter gathering. Last year, they opted out following the Princess’s cancer diagnosis weeks earlier.
