She was the house mate no one saw coming. So what happened to Bailee on Summer House and where did she go after she was mysteriously phased out of the show?
Bailee Henderson was one of two new cast members introduced in the premiere of Summer House Season 9, along with Lexi Wood. Bailee’s introduction took viewers by surprise given that she wasn’t in the Season 9 trailer, press release or any of the promo photos or videos for Summer House‘s new season.
A couple of episodes into Season 9 and Bailee seemed to have mysteriously disappeared from Summer House. Bailee also hasn’t shared any posts on her social media about Summer House since Season 9 premiered, leading viewers to wonder what the true story behind her casting is. So what happened to her? Well, the rumored drama may be even juicier than what Bravo fans are watching on screen.
What happened to Bailee on Summer House?
Though Bailee nor Bravo have confirmed the official reason Bailee isn’t a full-time cast member on Summer House, an alleged source told @bestofbravo, a DeuxMoi-like gossip Instagram account, in February 2025 that Bailee quit the show after she was accused of leaking storylines by producers. “Apparently she was shit talking the show, the cast, the whole thing back in the city and leaking storylines. Producers confronted her and she stopped showing up lol,” the source said.
Bailee’s Summer House cast mate Ciara Miller seemed to deny that the cast had any issues with Bailee in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in March 2025, in which she hinted that Bailee never became a full-time cast member because she simply didn’t “click” with the group as a whole. “I don’t know. I loved Bailee. I thought she was great. She was quirky, she was cool, she was outspoken. She was from Kentucky. We need another Southern girl in here,” Ciara said. “Coming into new friendships is really hard, so maybe some things didn’t click there necessarily. It’s really hard to come into our friend group. I don’t think she did anything.”
Ciara also confirmed that Bailee will appear in more episodes of Summer House Season 9 after she was seemingly phased out in the first couple of episodes. “I think she pops up some more,” Ciara said. When asked if viewers will get an official answer to why Bailee is no longer on Summer House, Ciara responded, “That’s a great question because there were some weekends where I was like, ‘I’m not coming to this event.’ So I don’t really know. I’m going to find out with y’all.”
While there’s no official answer to what happened to Bailee, Summer House fans don’t blame her for leaving the show, with many viewers accusing the cast of favoring new cast mate Lexi over Bailee in the Season 9 premiere.
“I also saw she just stopped showing up fairly early in the summer so they aren’t treating her like a proper cast member. But omg I felt so bad for her, she was immediately treated like she was invisible. When Jesse took Lexi’s grocery bag and then just kept fawning over Lexi instead of taking Bailey’s two bags 😭 at least West acknowledged and helped her but woooooof that was a hard watch,” a Reddit user wrote. Another user commented, “yea I feel like she wasn’t treated the way Lexi was treated… meanwhile Bailee seems pretty interesting and like she’d get along with the girls better than Lexi…” One more user wrote, “She seemed quirky and was very attractive, but I felt like Lexi grabbed all the attention, and I felt sorry for her.”
