What does Cider sell?
One of the coolest features is the Pick A Mood section, where you can shop based on how you’re feeling. Cute, elegant, free, cool, modest, or grunge—there’s a vibe for everyone. In the elegant section, you’ll find pleated trousers, wide-leg jumpsuits, boat-neck vests, and high-neck tank tops. The sexy section leans into lingerie-inspired two-pieces, sheer-paneled dresses, and curve-hugging skirts. And the free section is all about light, airy aesthetics: think floral frocks and crochet cardigans.
The accessories department is just as stacked. You’ll find both staple and statement belts (some with a Western flair—perfect timing for the Cowboy Carter tour), lace tights, patterned ties, waist chains, astrology-inspired earrings, and even iPhone cases.
Among the brand’s bestsellers? A pair of glossy ballet flats in one of 2025’s trendiest shades: wine. There are also cuffed denim shorts, bangle bracelet sets, timeless bikinis, and a standout pair of satin Mary Jane pumps that could easily pass for a Christian Louboutin Cassia Lace-Up dupe.
While I could go on, the point is that there’s a reason Cider is on everyone’s radar.
So of course, as a fashion editor, I had to see what all the hype was about. I tapped a few fellow writers and editors to help me decide whether the brand deserves a spot on your go-to list. Below, you’ll find reviews of a few pieces we put to the test.
Best Cider Dresses
Size Range: 2-10
Material: 45% viscose, 28% polyester, 27% nylon
Fit Type: Regular
Length: Midi
Good for: daily casual wear, date night
“I wear this dress whenever I want to feel and look impressive—and it works. I recently wore it to a Too Faced mascara launch party in West Hollywood, and got non-stop compliments! It looks like something you’d find in a designer boutique, but it’s only 24 bucks. It’s soft, stretchy (which is key since I’m seven months postpartum), and so comfortable. The slit is zesty, but not TOO much. In summer, I wear it on its own with heels or sneakers, but during these chillier spring days, I pair it with a leather jacket. Love.” —Gina Vaynshteyn, Editorial Director
Knit V-Neck Polka Dot Bowknot Midi Dress
Size Range: 0-10
Material: 94% polyester, 6% spandex
Fit Type: Slim
Length: Midi
Good for: work, park dates, dinner dates
“This polka dot midi dress is by far my most-worn piece lately. It’s so comfy, making it the perfect way to look a little nicer without being uncomfortable. I’m 5’0 so it’s a little longer on me, but actually I really like the length. It can be a little difficult to find long dresses that don’t drown me out, and this one fits like a glove. My favorite part is definitely the polka dots, and since I wear this dress so much, I’m highly considering getting more colors.” —Kleigh Balugo, Trending Beauty Writer
Cut Out Ruffle Hem Tiered Tulle Maxi Dress
Size Range: 0-26
Material: 100% polyester
Fit Type: Regular
Length: Maxi
Good for: vacation, weekend
“I knew I’d love the shape of this tiered maxi dress because I own a style similar to that of Anthropologie. I was definitely overdressed to see the Hoover Dam, but it was so flowy and perfect for springtime. Because this dress is 100% polyester and only $38, I didn’t care at all how much it wrinkled over time; that’s just the nature of it. The three bones I have to pick about this dress are these: The stitching where the neckline splits into a V was starting to come undone, I wish the lining was the same length as the dress (you can see where it stops mid-calf in the 3rd image above), and I wish it were big bust-friendly. Unfortunately, I don’t think it is. I’m 5’6”, my bra size is 32C, and I normally wear a size 4. I sized up to a size 6 for the girls. wearing a size 6. I think a bigger bust would add tension to the halter strings and rub on the back of your neck. On the plus side, I love the color, and this dress served the exact purpose I needed it to. I’d recommend it if you need an affordable option for a summer vacay or date.” —Kaili JiMei, Social Media Manager
Best Cider Tops
Velvet V-Neck Lace Trim Cami Top
Size Range: 0-10
Material: 95% polyester, 5% elastane
Fit Type: Slim
Length: Regular
Good for: date night, festival season
“Wake up, it’s butter yellow spring! My top note: This thing runs large. I ordered a size 6 when I normally wear a size 4-6, and I definitely could’ve rocked a size 2. For that reason, I styled this top with a grey blazer from Uniqlo and a trench coat from Quince. The lace detailing around the buttons adds a fun texture, along with it being a velvet top, and it passes as a pretty basic beneath layer. I really have no other notes—just size down to ensure a fitted fit. When it’s too big, like on me, it just looks like you’re not filling it out enough.” —Kaili JiMei, Social Media Manager

Size Range: 2-10
Material: 60% cotton, 40% acrylic
Fit Type: Oversized

Good for: game day, coffee dates, casual weekend plans
“One thing about me: I’m so easily influenced. I ordered this top after seeing a girly dancing in it on TikTok. This sweater is totally giving Forever 21, but you know what? Sometimes I forget that lounging clothes can be something other than sweat sets and comfort color t-shirts. Because this sweater is oversized, I ordered my normal size 4. I wear it with sweats around the house but dress it up with gold jewelry and beige linen pants to wear to the office. From my picture above, you’ll notice that the loose-knit stitching makes it a bit see-through. It’s really only noticeable when there’s a backlight, but day-to-day, no one would notice. Very satisfied with this piece.” —Kaili JiMei, Social Media Manager

“I’m in love with this gingham collared blouse. While the weather in NYC goes from brutally cold to a little warmer, I always notice that I need more long-sleeved tops. I like this one because it can be dressed up or down (I wore it to work and a Broadway show), and it has the cutest bow details on the collar. I also really like how it cinches at the waist so your figure doesn’t get lost. Looking forward to wearing it in warmer weather too with a mini skirt or jorts.” —Kleigh Balugo, Trending Beauty Writer

Katie is wearing the Denim Mid Rise Solid Pleated Maxi Skirt in Dark Denim.

Denim Mid Rise Solid Pleated Maxi Skirt
Size Range: 0-24
Material: 60% cotton, 20% polyester, 20% recycled polyester
Fit Type: Oversized
Length: Long
Good for: work, casual weekend activities
“My recently thrifted denim midi skirt got me on a denim skirt kick. I found myself reaching for the second-hand find so much that I needed another one. So I was completely sold as soon as I came across this maxi skirt design that has the added bonus of pleats. I wasn’t expecting the fabric to be thick and durable, but it’s both, and I can see this skirt lasting me many more seasons. The thick fabric also helped the pleats stay in place. The skirt didn’t come with any odd folds or creases, and the pleat design holds up through sitting down, walking around town, and more. As for fit, I’m usually a size XS, 0, or 00 with a 24- or 25”-inch waist, and the size 0 fits me perfectly. I’m 5’5”, so the skirt hit in the middle of my calf, and is definitely more maxi than midi length on me. Overall, I’ve reached for this denim maxi skirt multiple times and keep finding myself gravitating towards it whenever I want to dress up a bit for the office or on the weekends. In fact, I’ve been wearing it more than my original thrift find! In the photo above, I paired the skirt with a thrifted, zip-up vest, Steve Madden’s Paxtin shoe, and a thrifted, leather bomber jacket.” —Katie Decker-Jacoby, Commerce Editor
Denim Low Rise Solid Pocket Baggy Jeans
Size Range: 0-10
Material: 80% cotton, 10% polyester, 10% viscose
Fit Type: Oversized
Length: Long
Good for: work, casual weekend activities, date night
“I love jeans, and I was immediately drawn to the look of these from the website. The color is so cool and a nice switch-up from my traditional blue denim rotation. I love the wide-leg and the relaxed silhouette. They fit so nicely, hugging my curves in all the right places. However, they are not oversized like the brand suggests. But perhaps, I could have sized up a bit to get that feel. These are a great fall pant and they paired nicely with my chunky knit. I liked the tonal vibe of the outfit. I’ve also paired these with a white T-shirt and flats. I’m looking forward to styling these in the summer with a tank and chunky dad sandals. My only issue is that the fit is a bit stiff, but maybe after more wear and washes, they’ll loosen up. Great jeans for the price!” —Robyn Merrett, Style & Beauty Editor
Is Cider good quality?
For the price, Cider offers surprisingly solid quality. If you want to dip your toe into a trend without splurging on something that might be out of style next season, Cider is a smart pick. It’s also a great option if you’re building a wardrobe with a mix of highs and lows—think fun, standout pieces that can add personality to your basics. Whether you’re packing for a quick weekend getaway, prepping for festival season, or just looking to add a little color, texture, or trendiness to your closet, Cider’s got your back. The sweaters aren’t itchy, the dresses are surprisingly flattering, and the tops are playful, versatile, and easy to style with pieces you already own.
Is Cider worth your money?
To put it simply: yes. You can definitely stretch your dollar with Cider—especially when it comes to denim. These days, a pair of jeans with embroidery or a unique wash can easily run you $300 or more, but Cider offers options with cool cutouts, bold colors, and on-trend details for under $100. You’ll also find work-friendly dresses that could pass for something from Banana Republic or DISSH, without the $200 price tag. My only advice? Don’t rely solely on Cider to build your wardrobe, and be mindful of fabric quality and washes. Like anything in fashion, it’s all about balance.
