Yesterday, Kylie posted her brand new “pink on pink” French manicure to her Instagram story. The look consists of a milky nude shade for the base and a pastel bubblegum pink for the tips. The girly set honestly feels like a breath of fresh air, especially since the super natural nail look is everywhere these days. Because as much as we love a “your nails but better” trend, something about a cutesy pink manicure just hits different. Personally, I’m all for pink beauty trends—whether it’s baby pink blush or bright pink lips, we can all benefit from a little more pink in our lives.
I might be a little impartial to Kylie’s strawberry-glazed French manicure because one of my favorite sets was a pink and blue French manicure I got for my birthday last year. Similarly to Kylie, I opted for a milky nude as my base and a pop of color for the tips—baby pink for my left hand and sky blue for my right. And because I’m extra and wanted something a little more eye-catching for my birthday, I also asked for crystal embellishments to really make the set shine. To be honest, after seeing Kylie’s set I’m seriously considering recreating it next time I get my nails done.
