There are a few reasons why this electric shaver stands out amongst others. First, it’s one of the best designs that can be used for both dry and wet shaving—and it actually works well with shaving cream, which isn’t always the case. The electric shaver for legs also comes with a friction-fit handle attachment that clips around the shaver and makes it easier to reach your lower legs (including the ankles) so you don’t end up in awkward and uncomfortable positions in the shower.
To see if it’s truly one of the best electric razors for women, I tried this razor on dry and wet skin and am happy to report positive results for each experiment. The razor was easier to use on wet skin because the water and soap provided more lubricant to glide along my legs, but the dry shaving was also easy and painless. I have fair skin with dark, coarse hair on my legs, so I wasn’t sure how close of a shave I’d get, and I was impressed by how soft and smooth my legs felt post-shave. There were a few more stubborn areas (especially around my ankles), so I had to go over some spots twice, but for the most part, it was a quick and easy shaving process.
I don’t often dry shave—because ouch—but I understand the inconvenience of shaving in the shower, especially while traveling or in situations when a shower shave isn’t an option. I often go on tour with my musician husband (which is not unlike camping), so having something I can dry shave with that won’t cause razor burn or other irritation is so ideal. After giving it a test run at home, I can confirm that it didn’t irritate my legs and gave me a smooth shave without any water or lubricant. This razor will definitely come on the road with me, and I plan to use it when in a pinch.
The detachable handle was also super convenient, and I love how it made the shaving process more comfortable. I am short, so I don’t have issues reaching my legs, but still, I am no stranger to the awkward contortion that occurs while trying to shave your legs in the shower. This is a fabulous razor alternative for tall women or those with mobility issues, since the handle is so long and makes reaching the legs a more accessible endeavor.
Overall, I’d say this electric razor is well worth the price and boasts a ton of value in its performance, convenience, and accessibility. It’s also a lot safer compared to traditional blade razors since you don’t have to worry about potential nicks and cuts (something my clumsy self is certainly no stranger to).
