Usually, when Michael B. Jordan steps out, all eyes are on his good looks—but when he was spotted in the Big Apple on April 2, my eyes were locked on his gigantic purse. The actor was seen in Midtown carrying a bag I didn’t realize I needed, in a color I must incorporate into my wardrobe ASAP.
Before we get into the bag, let’s talk about the outfit that came with it. Jordan, who’s known for excelling in the fashion department, wore a simple white T-shirt beneath a red-and-brown patterned cardigan—perfect for easing into spring. He paired it with loose yet tailored trousers and topped off the look with burgundy shoes. Accessories included a David Yurman bracelet and black sunnies.

Now, the bag. It was beautiful. The rust-colored leather piece featured top handles and a slouchy, effortlessly cool silhouette. It didn’t take much digging to ID it, thanks to the woven rope detail at the center held together with a metallic knot. It’s Bottega Veneta, duh. A quick trip to the brand’s site confirmed it’s a new weekender bag, titled the Andiamo Voyager, made of grained leather. It also comes with a detachable crossbody strap, which Jordan chose not to wear. It retails for nearly $10,000, and the color is officially called Mou. It reminds me of the oversized Andiamo bag ASAP Rocky carried in pink last year. (If that doesn’t ring a bell, remember all of those pap shots of Rocky with Rihanna that turned out to be an ad for the luxury label? That’s what I’m talking about.)
Anyway, Jordan’s look is definitely one for the mood board—especially if you’re scrambling to figure out transitional outfits as the temperature slowly creeps up. He’s layered, but not heavily, It gives that easy, effortless feel we’re all trying to channel. The bag is the icing on the cake.
