It appears that there is no bad blood anymore. A huge update on whether Taylor Swift and Blake Lively are friends emerged months after the Justin Baldoni drama. The two have been on rocky terms after it was reported that Taylor wasn’t so pleased with how Blake mentioned her in the case.
“[Taylor and Blake] have worked everything out,” a source told Paula Froelich of NewsNation. “Blake apologized and they are talking again.” The two seemed to bury the hatchet and have been taking things slow in private. ”Taylor is annoyed she was brought into this,” a source told Froelich back in January. “She was supporting her friend — and went to her house to hang out, and now that [hangout] is part of [Justin’s] lawsuit. It’s a lot.”
Blake has been in the middle of a contentious battle with her former co-star and director of her last movie It Ends With Us. Rumors of a feud between the two swirled even before the movie was released. Taylor Swift was reportedly roped into the Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively lawsuits by the Gossip Girl actress. The tension arose after text messages emerged in Justin Baldoni’s countersuit against Lively, where the actress allegedly referred to Swift as one of her “dragons” alongside husband Ryan Reynolds. Sources close to Swift told TMZ she was “royally pissed off” about being characterized this way, especially since she “never had a dog in the fight.”
The news comes shortly after it was reported that Taylor wasn’t talking to one of her close friends: Jamie King. A source told Page Six that the two “haven’t been in touch for a long time” but assures that Jamie “misses Taylor” and hopes they can “reconnect at some point.” Jamie used to be part of Taylor’s core girl group but has been missing from them for a while. “Jaime made Taylor her son’s godmother for a reason and she wants to continue that friendship,” the source recalled when Jamie made her a godmother in 2015.
The Tortured Poets Department artist also raised some eyebrows with her current friendship with her fellow Kansas City Chief WAG Brittany Mahomes. Rest assured, she’s also taking a little bit of a breather right now. “Swift and Kelce aren’t hanging out with Patrick and Brittany right now,” an insider told MailOnline, but it’s not because of any kind of falling out. “The two couples aren’t avoiding each other because of any tension, they just have other priorities right now.”
