Jack Black is one of the few people who can make a wardrobe malfunction look like performance art. During Monday’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Minecraft Movie star nearly lost his pants while making a wildly Jack Black-style entrance – walking through the audience, high-kicking, and shredding a surprise guitar solo like a man possessed.
The crowd loved it. Fallon lost it. And amid all the chaos, Black’s pants made a break for it.
In the video, Black walks into frame in jeans and a shirt covered with Minecraft diamonds, playing the guitar solo from “Sweet Child O’ Mine” on what looks to be a blockified Flying V. When he raises the guitar overhead in as the gnarly riff continues, his pants begin to slip down. Black rolls with it, letting his pants fall to his ankles while going in for a hug with Fallon.
Naturally, he played it off like a champ. As they sat down, Fallon said “That is how you make an entrance! You bring the heat! You bring the energy!” Black replied “I didn’t bring a belt, is what I didn’t bring!”
What makes this moment even better is that it’s peak Jack Black: chaotic, hilarious, and totally unbothered by the idea of public embarrassment. He’s been doing this for decades – leaning all the way into his physicality and never shying away from the reality of being a bigger-bodied performer in an industry that often demands the opposite.
It’s a good reminder that having confidence doesn’t mean being perfect – it means showing up, taking up space, and owning every high kick and pant malfunction along the way.
